Since the new track in Hastings, NE is only six hours from Denver, this is considered one of our "home tracks".
This will be a 2.3 mile road course designed by Alan Wilson.

Give me your opinion if you would make the trip (assuming the $$ was reasonable).

The track looks pretty decent. I wouldn't be against going to Hastings for a race, but it would be like a 1 per season event for me.
If this was an older facility like the Mead track I likely wouldn't even consider it.

I spoke with George, one of the owners of the track, last week and they are very excited about what's going on. The track and land is paid for and asphault will be down in the April timeframe for a July opening date. They got some very nice amenities in the plans.
Nebraska may be "flat" but the course layout promises to be technically challenging enough and and be "race worthy" enough to put a smile on everybody's face.
MPH is very willing to work with NASA (among several other Denver groups) to make it worth the trip. I'll keep you updated on the progress.

At that distance, it would have to be very much worth my while. I'm happy with lots of events at PMI and La Junta, haha. :D
