Since CAMA's contact form on their site is broken, I have nobody to send this letter to. Maybe Dave could forward it on to someone for me:

Dear CAMA,
I'm writing in regards to the recent troubles with the proposed track location near the Front Range airport. I just moved out here from San Jose, California, where the closest track was nearly 2 hours away. I would happily drive 1-2 hours to get to the track if it means we will actually get it built. There is a sad trend taking place in Colorado - all of the road courses are closing down. Three in the last 3 months.
One of the reasons I chose Colorado as a place to live is because it appeared to have good potential for road racers, with a handful of inexpensive tracks at our disposal. Now, there is only one left. Not to mention the plans to build a new track 20 minutes outside of Denver seem a little too ambitious and could ultimately fail if there is no flexibility in distance. I would suggest looking a little further away from the metro area in order to ensure that this project will happen. Let's be realistic here, the metro area is expanding, and the immediate surrounding land has already become too valuable for a race track. Choosing a spot that is 1-2 hours outside of the populated area is the only viable option that would ensure that the track would be around for a long time to come.
Please don't limit the plans for this project to such a small radius for potential sites. All this will do is ruin the momentum and bring about more criticism and rejection from those who need to approve the plans. In the meantime, those of us watching the events unfold are losing hope and more places to race as the months go by. Let's get a good site nailed down that is truly viable, even if it's an hour or two away from downtown Denver. Personally, I would bet a great deal of money that it would succeed.
Thanks for listening.
