Just wanted to introduce myself to you and let you in on what I am going to be doing at the NASA events. My name is Greg Bonier and I mostly do automotive photography. I had a strong sense that people would love having photos done of their vehicles in motion from other "clubs"
If the interest is strong as I expected it will be I will be coming to more events.
If needed I have photoshoot packages available as well and they are as follows.
1 Hour is $25 with all pics on a CD and ONE location
1.5 Hours is $50 with all pics on CD and TWO locations
2 Hours is $65 with all pics on CD and up to THREE locations
All pictures are fully color corrected and sized for use.
Right's to ANY images are $2 each as stated above.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you may have at PhotographyByGB@gmail.com
Here are a couple sample images to get things rolling ;)

Will you be at the Saturday 3/11 event? I would be interested in the 1 hour package for my car. Especially if that would include a couple action shots.

Yes I will be at the 3/11 event.
The best (better) shots are taken early in the morning (sunrise) and or later at night when the sun is going down. However full light does look good too ;). We can pick a location at the track to shoot the majority of the photos, And when you're on track I can get some moving shots for you as well.

I don't recall that car being out there.
Any chance you know what number/class he was running?

Yup ... Craig's car? Are you the old owner?
He had race rubber on it for the first time and did quite well for his 2nd autocross.
Took 8th out of 22 street mod entries, roughly.
(I'm his neighbor).

I'll be up at all of the autox events "covering" them.
Should be pretty fun considering i'm going to let my car "sit" a season so I can get this photography thing off the ground.

Greg, I would be interested in booking you for an hour on Saturday just to see how good everything is. Then, depending on what I see, I might book you for 1.5 or 2 hours on Sunday. I actually need some good stuff for my sponsorship purposes, so this would be great.
It's too bad you left before heat 4 at the auto-x. I could have used some pics from there, too, but I did get a few from other photographers. I was the Grey Evo in SM, and I was just a few spaces down from the referenced Cobra above. I didn't realize he finished 8th - that's pretty good for all that power and hardly being able to keep traction even on Hoosiers. I wouldn't have a clue how to auto-x a beast like that.

Trust me, it was a handfull even on the street. Getting sideways in 1st gear at around 30 mph can be fun. Having your tail try to trade places with your nose at the top of 2nd gear at nearly 80 mph is scary.
Craig (the current owner) mentioned he talked to an EVO driver that he said was a really good guy...was that you?

Thanks a lot for the interest, however confusing as it may sound....the "photoshoot" is a standalone thing.....basically we find a location to shoot your car and we work it like that..when everyone is on track i will be shooting everyone..
A dedicated shoot is YOUR car only...not on track
However i have been thinking about doing this...which is...
as the day goes on I will cover 5 people/cars whom have interest in my work and charging $75 per person which includes track photos and 1 hour of off track time in another location with an 8x10 print and then any additional prints would be small charges.
Let me know if you're interested in that. If I get enough feedback i might even be there sunday as well :)

Just my $0.02.... Typically track photographers shoot everybody while on track. You can usually tell them, "make sure to get shots of car XX" and they'll make sure to concentrate on you as well, but they don't charge extra. However, you may be on to something.
Please note that Xtreme Racer is an independant photographer and does not work for NASA. We may from time to time buy work from him for magazine articles.:D

Ah, well I have no interest in a photoshoot while stationary. My car is not a beauty queen - it's beauty comes out when it's in action, so I am only interested in action shots. I was confused, since I thought you meant you'd spend an hour in a certain part of the track specifically photographing one car many times from many angles in hopes of getting a couple of awesome shots that would not otherwise have been achieved.
Whatever it is you end up doing, I'm just interested in the full-speed action shots on track, so let me know how to get those.

Hey, I sure hope so. We had a group that were talking cars there for a while before our run group started - it was me, the 380ss camaro guy who just registered for this event, the new cobra owner, and my buddy who came with me and rode with the cobra, the SS, and me, hah!

I've decided to cut out the "standalone" shots. I will do 5 people that day @ $50 with one 8x10 print and as many photos as I can manage to get of your car.

Very true. However i've heard/seen of some people doing standalone shots where they want their cars all "raced" up for either their personal use or sponsor use. Sure action shots are the greatest thing at these events however I believe as well that some standalone look really good too.

That would be one 8X10 print of our favorite shot and then we'd get the electronic copies of however many photos you manage to take? That would be great for me...

Exactly, you see....i do it a little differently than most.
What you're paying for is an 8x10 print and all photos I manage to take....of your car of course.
Now heres the other thing. For any IMAGE that you want to "buy" it's an additional $2. What that pertains is this. No logo, no border AND you get full res and a smaller sized down version that are corrected AND clear.
If you want to sign up theres two ways. You can email me at photographybygb@gmail.com or you can find me at the event (i'll be there on the 11th for sure). Maybe I should get some kind of bright colored vest so everyone knows i'm one of the few photographers out there.

What you're paying for is an 8x10 print and all photos I manage to take....of your car of course. The photos you will be given are 1024X768 in size....with the black border and my logo on them. The "other" people charge MUCH more just to have photos taken without logo.....full res....un color corrected....i'm sure you get the idea.

Is it just me or is this also confusing? I thought I would just get the regular digital photos. You are saying they would come with some border and your name on it? I wouldn't want that - I just want the digital photos. Any borders, words, logos, or graphics would not be desirable. You are saying that every electronic photo you give us would be formatted to look like this?
Then, when you say any IMAGE costs $2, what is that referring to? Are you diferentiating between "image" and "photo"? I'm pretty much stumped at this point. What images would I want other than the ones I already get?

Lol going from post to post I guess it has gotten a tad confusing huh?
With that being said the $2 image fees apply to those who do NOT want a $50 package.
Hopefully that clears things up a bit, I guess i even confused myself a bit while typing. Sorry for the inconvienience.

We've got the safety vests. Come to registration to let us know you're there and get the vest. We will also get you the proper credentials so you don't get kicked off the corners.

If you're going to buy multiple images....and want prints of them later....it's actually cheaper to go with the $50 package.

Dave i'll just come and ask for you or Revkah? I think i got her name right?
Also....how quickly can i change corners? As in move from shooting one location.....to shooting the next?

Yep... Revkah (my wife and co-director).
As long as you're not needing to cross the track you will be able to move about faily easily.
