#1 can dave fit it into the schedule
#2 will there be enough race cars for the school
#3 can we get 5 students ?
#4 Bonus would be an extra driver that otherwise would not goto sandia.

Count me out. It looks like I'll be running the wagon in TT, due to my untimely and violent rod bearing failure on the specPOS ! Bumming.....but optimistically seeking a "miracle" short block. Cheers

Sorry to hear that Cullen. Now I guess you can join the rest of the club, Rearin to go only to find all of the demons learking inside.
I'm of the opinion that no 944 should be run on a race track without an external oil cooler and and at the first hint of running hot bring it in and find the cause and solution before the rod bearings go out.
I have now torn mine all the way down to the block, having the head worked, crankshaft ground, connecting rods ground and checking on pistons and cylinder walls. All because I should have shut it down when it was running hot and I didn't know why:o . I will now know my engine inside and out :D and probably be obsessed with temp gauges!

And yes if we have an October event I'd like to be in your comp school. If the car is back together and running. 1000 pcs back into one mean machine.....

Thanks for the condolences, Lee. Hope yours comes back together well. Mine didn't run hot until the bearing was already rat-a-tat-tat-ing. I was only on track for about 12 minutes, so I suspect it was going to let go anyway. Oh well, at least I'll have a fresher motor for next year. I think the wagon should be good to go at Sandia, except I'll be on crap all seasons. It'll still be fun !
