Just putting a feeler out to see if anybody has a cheap set of used tires to throw on the wagon for Pueblo. I found Khumo ecsta V700s for $85 on close out, but don't want to spend that much, as my $$ needs to go into the other car. Thanks

I just did some reorganizing in the shop and I think I have at least 2 used Victoracers in the size you are looking for that I'd be happy to part with. Unfortunately, the Goodland contingency will not be making it to Pueblo. :(

Is anyone from the Longmont/Erie, CO area going to Pueblo? I'm going to be in the Longmont/Erie area next weekend, Oct 20-21, and could drop them off if someone is willing to pass them along to you and you have the means to get them mounted up in Pueblo.

Before any plans are made, I'll check late tonight when I get home from work to see if I do indeed have a set that size.

I will be heading to the Castle Rock area this coming early wednesday night through friday morning and could take the tires to someone in the Elizabeth/Kiowa/Castle Rock area for transport to Pueblo. Thursday would be the best day for me to run them to someone if all works out.

Yup. I just checked and I do have 2 Kumho Victoracers that size.

Would a set of four 245/45/16 Hoosiers work?

Thanks very much guys, NASA RM forums rock !!
Yes I could fit a 245/45/16. I will certainly be running up the Valley Highway (1/25 for you transplants) soon to visit my pop, and possibly pick up a short block, so getting them close could work out great. What do you need for the Hoosiers ? Shipping tires is pretty cheap and easy too, I have a UPS account you could put them on. Cheers, Cullen

i can haul to pueblo for you in november, but i'm guessing that wouldn't help if you need them mounted for that weekend

Dave, you can leave them with me. Cullen can pick them up in Castle Rock when he goes thru.

Not sure if you are referring to me but I can drop the tires off with you and pick up the heads at the same time? I pm'd you...this coming Thursday would work best for me to get all this stuff done while I'm out there.

Cullen,

I'll send you a PM with pictures on Monday so you can see wear and condition of each. I have a vague idea of what to ask for the Kumhos, but no idea what to ask for the Hoosiers. I bought all of them in a package deal with a whole bunch of other stuff, so I have no idea what I ended up paying for them. I know they were cheap for me, so I'm willing to pass the savings on to you to get them out of my shop.

Dave T. is willing to be our gopher. I'll just let him know what he needs to do. ;)

Cool beans guys, thank you. I'll have to sort out some spare rims to make the trek over La Veta pass, for the Pueblo trip. I don't recall Hoosier making an all weather tire ;) One thing that could kill the whole thing is hockey scheduling. I haven't gotten anything from either of my girls teams yet, and there's a slim chance she might have to travel that weekend. Darn kids and their ridiculous hobbies

Cullen,
I have 4 practically new BFG P225/50ZR16's.
They were shaved for racing or cone steering or ???
pm me your email address and I'll send you some pics.
A cone racer guy owed me some $$ and gave me them instead of cash.
I would bring them to Pueblo with me but I gotta sell them.
Let me Know,,,

Here we see Butterscotch the quimby cat, a.k.a. @$$wipe (but only in the shop when the kids aren't around), pointing out some cracking in the surface of the Hoosiers.

The $*%& cat jumped up onto the tires just as I snapped the picture. Moments later the tires rolled back and the cat fell off. :D

***NO animals were hurt in the taking of that picture***

I must say "stinkykitty" is very friendly but makes it difficult to work on the car :)

That cracked me up ! Our two cats have capsized race tires in the living room a few times, and they usually look petrified afterward :p Thanks for the offers guys, way cool...PM sent, Raybob

Hey, don't know how things are going to turn out, but if you end up passing on the Hoosiers, I'd be intersted.

It looks like Raybob's got just what I need. Thanks again, Scott, looks like you might have a taker on the Hoosiers !

Yes! The monkey avatar! *sigh* I remember using it years ago on a blog. Such a frightened little chap.

Could you bring him to an event to work corners?

Are you going to be attending the Pueblo event or traveling on I-70 between KC and Denver any time soon? I don't think it would be worth it to ship them. If you're willing to wait for delivery, I'm planning on being at the NASA RM event at Miller next year.

I've also got a set of 4 265 width Hoosiers and 275 width set of 4 Kumhos.

I am actually going to be in Grand Junction on Oct 20-21 visiting my father. Could you give me more info about the tires, cost and tread life remaining? I am planning on beginning HPDE/PDX etc. at Miller beginning spring.

1997 TA, click here (http://www.nasarockymountain.com/nasa_forums/showthread.php?p=13909#post13909) for a related thread.

Grand Junction is probably not close enough.

I understand. Am still interested in tires, though. Please email me tire sizes, tread life, price. Who knows, I would probably drive out there to pick them up. Thanks again. sctttoth@msn.com

I'll send you some pictures and descriptions later today, but it does not look promising to get them out to Colorado by this coming weekend. Our parts gopher we have running between Kansas and Colorado is leaving in about 20 minutes from now. He has very quickly become overwhelmed with errands we've dictated to him in addition to his family obligations that were the real reason he's making the trip. (Thanks Dave T. :D )

Actually, trip to Grand Junction postponed to weekend of Oct 27-28. Might stop over. Send info when you get a second. Thanks
