Transponder mounting

I have a mounting bracket for an AMB transponder. Should I get it mounted before the HPDE? Any preferences for where it goes? I'm in Group 3.

Yes. If you have the AMB please mount it ahead of time so that all you have to do is pop in the transponder.

It should have a clear view of the ground and be no higher than 2ft from the ground.
