Springs Caravan to PMI

If you'd like to drive with us...or if you need directions from South Colorado Springs to PMI, we're leaving from PPCC @ 7am (South Academy and I-25) Saturday Morning. If we leave at 7, we should arrive at PMI by 7:40am.

The mandatory driver's meeting is at 8am, so I plan to get there closer to 7am. I have to pick a spot, unload, switch wheels/tires, prep the car, and maybe go through tech. 7:40 will probably cut it close. I assume there won't be a lot of time for preparation between the driver's meeting and the HPDE classes, so anyone wanting to caravan should consider the timeline. I haven't seen a schedule of when each group gets on the track or when the classroom sessions begin. I at least hope I have time to get race gas (9am) before I get on the track.

Good point! We start the meeting at a minute or two after 8am (to account for stragglers ;)) but then we lock the door. If you don't make it in time you'll need to wait to have your own private meeting w/Kevin and I :eek: and possibly miss your first session. I'd meet up a little earlier if I were you....

Ruh-Roh! Ok, I suppose we'll have to leave earlier. 6:30... that'll put us there a little after 7. I'm already Tech'd...and I have minimal pre-race prep. I'm swapping Tires tomorrow. I've got my Race Gas Containers. All I really need to do is Unload the Spare/Jack/Interrior stuff. Lightning (Bovee), JLMounce (Mounce), SneakyHonda (Rivera), Scuba (Tasca), and a few spectators will be with us.

Do we need our own containers for race fuel, or is there a regular fuel pump? I didn't catch that in all of the correspondence/info we've received/discussed.

:eek: i argued for locking the doors at 8am sharp (my watch) but dave negotiated a couple extra minutes for those who don't know me. :) ;) i guess i'll just have to readjust my watch ;)

I think Jose (SneakyHonda) and myself are planning on leaving my house which is just south of PPCC in Fountain @ 6:30am so we should meet up with you guys on I25 :D . If you guys have radios how does channel 3/3 sound?

Let me ask the fuel guy when I call him w/numbers today. I will throw in a couple of empty fuel jugs.
