Check your new forum member title! ;)
As folks sign up for memberships let me know and I'll flip your over to the correct status. I can't always match between the NASA database and our forums on names, so it make take a PM once in a while.

Ok, Kyle & RichV! Can I count in as #3 Avid Mustang Nut? I was at the first event in Pueblo as a Spectator. I met RayBob, but wasn't able to hang around late to chat. I will have to meet both of you at the next event. Hopefully I will have a car ready to HPDE by then. Just for the record I have a 1982 GT, 1981 Capri, 1986 GT & Capri, 1984 SVO, and a 1998 Cobra. The 86 Capri, will be my AI car CASTANG, Capri body with Mustang nose and tail. I hope to get my SVO ready for the next event, so I can drive and not just watch.
By the way Raybob, Great to meet you and I look forward to talking with you more. Also Awesome AI Camaro!

Trey, It was good to meet you. Lets get you and that Merc out on the track. Can you make Miller in May? It will be cool to see an old Capri out there on the track. If I was a Fox body guy I would put Couger emblems all over it and call it a Couger to pay respect to Ed Leslie and Bud Moore for those Bitchen 67 Cougers they ran in Trans Am. That would be cool....
Somewhere I got a picture of those Cougers taken at the Old Continental Raceway that used to be outside of Castle Rock.
I hope we can have a couple of beers at Miller.
Welcome to Rocky Mntn AI

Welcome Trey. Nice to see another fox mustang guy.
Whats the deal with the SVO? Info Pics etc.
I dont suppose you want to sell one of those fox stangs do ya? Rich and I are looking for a good CMC candidate and eventually stepping up to AI.
BTW Rich and I should have both of the SVO's at Lajunta. Hope to see you there.

RayBob,
Thanks again for taking the few minutes you had to chat. I would have loved to stay longer, but I was using a business trip as an excuse to get out to the track. I forgot to tell you that although I am a DIE HARD Ford fan. I have acutually owned several Trans Ams. In fact, if I could find one for the right price, I would love to have a 98 up Ram Air Trans Am in AI or AIX. I love the look of the Trans Am IROC cars. That would be awesome! During College I had an 84 T/A as my autocross car/daily driver. I have also owned 3 1979 T/A including a 10th Anniversary issue and a 1978 Formula 400. Somehow I will make it out to Miller even if I don't have a car ready. Then I'll take you up on that beer.

Kyle,
Thanks for the welcome. The info on the SVO is bleak. I used to run my own Restoration/Customizing Shop before I moved up here to Grand Junction. One of my friends and owner of another shop that specializes in SVO's got this 84 from a customer that was too stupid to be working on cars. He had bought new injectors and did not seat the O rings correctly and it was leaking fuel. Well, rather than fix the problem, he thought that if he drove it down to Sonic for lunch it would suddenly quite leaking. Needless to say the fuel leaked all over the exhuast and then the car went up in flames. Most of the under hood wiring is toast as well as the middle of the dash and the windshield. The car is an early slapper bar car and I bought it rather than see it get parted out. Honestly I am torn between restoring it and making major modifications to it. The car is solid and little to know rust and no collisions that I can see. I wanted to get it back together and use it for some HPDEs because it has pretty decent suspension for a stock car. The problem right now is work has me swamped and all my play toys are still back at my old shop down in Texas. I thought I was going to be able to bring it up by now and be working on it to have it ready for Miller. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
The only cars that I have now that I might sell are probably not complete enough to make a decent CMC or AI car out of. I'll keep my eyes open for something good and who knows maybe we can get together at Miller and work something out. I have stock parts galore for a CMC car.

Trey.
If/when you get that SVO up here ket me know. I have wiring harness or two lying around from a couple of wrecked SVO's.
I dont think we are going to make it to miller but we will be at Lajunta in June.
