LOL. :D
I didnt get any track time on saturday but Rich did and I would say that his addiction is far greater than mine. Well that is untill I get some track time at Lajunta.
so yeah. Rich and I have already made the plan's for a CMC car. I blame alot of it on Scott (MHSSTC) for giving us the idea in the first place.

My SVO WILL BE THERE.
We need to show those V8 boy's what the little 4 popper stangs can do.
That 87 GT is even white. It will match the truck and everything. :D

I think the V8s got a little taste of 4-banger action this weekend. :p

Yeah.
That white DSM was also tearing it up.
I think people expect to see EVO/STI/SRT4/DSM's tearing it up. Toss a 4cyl turbo mustang into the mix and they really dont know what to think.
Heck, 80% of the mustang crowd doesnt even know what a SVO is. The SVT guy's wont even give them credit for being the grandfather of SVT.
I'm ok with that. Walk softly and carry a big stick..er uh turbo. ;)

I was really suprised how the turbo cars just dominate the straights. You would expect the V8 torque to pull on them, but a well tuned turbo car seems to be the ticket!
I'm stoked to get my SVO out next time. The hybrid turbo and ported big-valve head will be interesting on a road course. If I can learn to drive it anyway! Going from 90HP to over 300 in about 2 seconds will take a bit of getting used to.

We lose a lot less power at altitude, so that's part of it. The same cars at sea level would favor the N/A and S/C cars much more.

She has surprised a many Cobra's and Fbody car's both at the drag's and on the twisty road's.
Both are too nice and rare to turn into dedicated track car's. That's why Rich and I are looing for a good car to turn into a CMC ride.

stir stir stir.
I'm no where ready to go racing with the Big Dogs and a AI car is not in the budget.
So we need to find a few people interested in fielding Camaro CMC car's and then I can run my big mouth.:p

I should have clarified that I was only referring to the V8s in my class, not the race cars! I was able to sneak by the Vettes in HPDE3, luckily.
However, by the time I get my racing license (1-2 years?), I will probably have an upgraded suspension, brakes, some weight reduction, and maybe an upgraded turbo. As it stands now, all of those things are still stock. Oh, not to mention my driving should be upgraded by then, too, so maybe I can compete with a few V8s (and a V10? :D ).
my little 351 will still be waiting fer ya. ;0 right raybob?

Hmm, lemme think. I will have:
- 60% less HP (500whp vs 320whp)
- 60% more weight (2200lbs vs 3400lbs)
- 60% less driving ability (or maybe closer to 90% less!)
Those look like great odds to me! Let's do it! :D

I think the shell went on ebay last year....
there is a reason the 4 banger turbo got banned from GT-1 .... uncompetitive.
chuck <---- no turbo

You'll do fine and I hope you will have fun cuz thats what its all about. Like I tell my daughters Fast & Furious boy friend, "Instead of spending Giant amount of money to try and beat up Big Bore Cars why not save the money and just buy one".

Kevin,
Get that Mustang in AI so we can dice, it'll be a blast.
My Camaro full of fuel with me in it is 3390, your Mustang can't weight much more than that? I got 400HP so I will still need to add 100 pounds ballast +/- to stay legal ????
BTW I am 185 pounds before lunch how about you.

Wow that is one fat car. Should consider putting it on a diet. Maybe run it on a tread mill :D
