Did the weather hamper the event?
Did everything run smoothly?
I just learned about NASA and plan to get involved. Unfortunately I had a previous commitment. (Bought tickets months ago to see Bill Cosby).

It was great, ran smoothly, and had no weather interruptions whatsoever. It got windy, but there was no precipitation.

It was a blast. Weather didn't come up as an issue. The sessions moved along well. The weekend even beat my expectations. Make it to the next one if ya can.

It was great! The weather was a bit cold and windy. Sort of a problem for me since I drive an open car. But not terrible. Had a little bit of scrapple drop about lunch time. But only lasted a few minutes. It was cold, too.
Had a great time. I've never been on this track before. It's very technical. I've driven PPIR a few times. Just looking at PPIR tells you how to drive it. But MPI is much differant. It's not intuitive at all. You really have to work at learning and following the correct line.
My first session of day 1 was terrible! I think my grandmother could have done better. But my instructer (Kasim) was excellent. By the end of the second day I was doing much better. I felt more confident in the car and my driving. Turns 6 and 7 were a bear at the beginning. Towards the end they were pretty fun.
My best lap time was about 2:03; top speed was 120. Can't wait to get out there again.
The organization was excellent. The schedule was pretty tight, and was followed really well. Excellent organization. Nothing but fun, fun, fun. Couldn't ask for a better group of people.
Next session is June 10 and 11. DON"T MISS IT! :)

Todd, it was great... See my post over on Apex. I was topping out 4th gear (105 mph) a little before my braking zones for turns 5 and 9. On the front straight, I was braking way too early (and too much) for turn 1, but was still hitting 120+ mph with my painfully long 5th gear (acceleration pretty much just dies once I shift to 5th at 100-105 mph). I think 130 is pretty do-able if I enter turn 1 better and swap 5th back to the shorter gear that's meant to go with this transmission. For comparison, I would just barely top out 4th gear at 105 mph on both straights of Second Creek.
Pueblo is definately a bit different than Second Creek and Mead, and it's taking me a little more time to learn (I sure did leave a lot of room for improvement :o ), but it's a lot of fun. I've noticed that it seems to want higher spring rates and a bit more negative camber. I can't wait to get out there again...

Damn, that's fast. I wasn't getting anywhere near 105 on that tiny straight before 5, and that's with coming out of 4 at full boost and all 4 wheels gripping. I did approach 100mph just before 9 usually, but I'm amazed you were hitting 105 with much lower exit speeds. On the main straight, my gearing is very good, so I did manage 125 most times with the occasional 130.

I just found out about it. Why didn't you guys give me a heads up? Who else was there?
Weston, looks like you have your boost under control.
Tai, we need to get together on the brake/web deal.

Yeah, sorry about that... Call me up, I've been swamped, the business has just blown up.

No kidding, 105 on that short downhill spring between 4 and 5 is impressive.
On the final 2 sessions I was shifting from 2nd to 3rd (roughly 75 mph) shortly after hitting the drop. I'd assume I was hitting about 95 before getting on the brakes for the apex to turn 5. On the final session I was as fast as I was going to get given the speed of my car and the tires. I was locking the tires ever so shortly before turn in, so I coudln't brake any later.

Wow...that is fast...
i was hitting the limiter in 3rd on the downhill and the limiter in 4th on the main straight. It's a fast track for sure and LOTS of fun!

...
Thanks. Too bad my driving wasn't. :o But I think I have the track figured out now (or at least significantly better), and I'm anxious for the next PMI event...
