I'm in the process of moving to Colo Spgs, and have a CMC Mustang. I don't know if I'll be able to get to MMP, but if so, is there a sense of what group CMC will run with, which other classes will be in that race group, and how many total cars will be in that group? I looked at the Pueblo schedule, and saw only two sessions for a Race group: one practice/qual, one race. If that's the case, are the racers allowed to run with any of the HPDE groups, as long as we adhere to the HPDE rules?
thanks,
chris

I'm going to MMP. If you can't make it, I'll be happy to take your car out there for you. ;)

Chris,
The Pueblo event was a special one in that it was mostly HPDE and just a few race cars. Since it was early in the season, most cars were still in moth balls. I know ours was still "winterized" and had no water in the radiator. The two race sessions were "freebies" and we still only had a couple people wanting to run in it, so they were scrubbed!
The Miller event will be one to not miss!!! We will actually have 4 to 5 race groups since we are hosting FormulaTR, GTS/BMWCCA, Legends, USTCC plus all of the other assortment of NASA race classes.
Good news! The big bore type cars is one of the most popular NASA class as of today. I'm thinking of at least 5-7 AI/CMC cars and we're recruting heavily from SoCal. I'm trying to convince some of your fellow Texans to make the 20 hour trip since this track is so cool. If we get at least 10 AI cars and a god number of CMC cars, we will do $$ payouts to the top 3. Combine this with the $300 in tires from Toyo, it starts to look attractive. I know RayBob was working on another potential sponsor....
There will also be three to five 500hp Cobras running in SU that you can attempt to chase :D.
The prelim schedule has open testing on Friday, and a Prac/Qual/Race on both Sat and Sunday.

This is sounding good, thanks. It will be mid-April before I know if I can make it to MMP; I may have to miss that event, and catch up with the Rocky Mtn NASA folks at La Junta.
