Unfortunatly Gateway Killed Eban's #16 car. We found out on Monday it has a spun rod bearing. He was going to drive my #32 until we discovered this morning that a cracked or leaking oil pick-up tube would put the motor at too much risk to drive and not enough time to repair.
We'll be there to cheer and help the 944-spec crowd anyway we can.

Dang Bruce. I'm pretty sure the pick up tube on my old engine is still good. It's got a few metal flakes around the screen... but you're welcome to snag it if needed!

A spun bearing?? I'm assuming it was journal #2?
That sucks, guys. Sorry to hear.
Man, Gateway sure did claim a lot of damage to the Rocky Mountain cars.

Bruce why do you say it's a cracked pickup ? not from the need to prime it ... ? you need to remove the pan to know it has a cracked pickup. ???
call me if you can .
