Hey folks,
I just wanted to post and ask you what you would want to see on this site in the future. I know what I'd like to see and I know what we're already planning. But I'd also like to know what "you" have in mind.
Many of you have been involved in other online communities and racing newsgroups. Was there any features that you always felt those sites should have had? Maybe even features that they did have that you'd like to see here? Let us know.
We should have a photo gallery in the next few months for event photos. And obviously, we'll have a results section and detailed schedule of events. What else would you like to see?

I'd like to see an events section. Maybe not necessarily on the forums but on teh main page for the regional events.
On the forums I'd like to see a times breakdown for the tracks that we visit. A little healthy competition never hurt anyone ;)
Also what about some links to some of the local racing communities.
RMSolo
Co Racing
Co Racing Network
Colorado SCCA
Links to these places and perhaps getting some links back here from those places would be nice for bringin in more people.
Finally soem tech sections would be nice. Like general stuff that can carry multiple makes and models of cars. Like suspension tech, wheels/tires, driving how too's etc.

Good feedback. We'll definitely have some type of events coverage section with photos and results. We plan to have a gallery that everyone can upload photos to, not just the site administration.
I like the track times idea. I'll see what we can do to try and incorporate that. Bragging rights are always important :)
The links should be easy enough. We might even want to link to local car clubs who participate in racing events (like the local WRX and BMW groups). I'll take care of this.

Theres one other suggestion I have It is a Favorites button. Basicaly Every post has a button called Add to Favorites, When you see a post your very interested in folowing you push the button, that post will go to your favorites and every time theres a new reply it will tell you. And its also so you don'thave to go look for the post you were reading to see whats new.
Just a suggestion

This is already available on the big forums. www.nasaforums.com One section for each class, and there's a LOT of them. Definitely check it out.
We could probably get away with a general tech section here though. That could be nice.

I've debated over this a bit. While we would love to have more traffic here, I'd like to keep this board more towards regional specific info. Car building and Tech questions is more of a national subject. Our race cars should be indentical to east coast and west cars car, etcs. The prep/saftey rules are governed by national.
Honestly, watching traffic on other regional fourms regarding tech/prep is slow. You may get one answer to your question. Ask the same question on the national NASA forums and you get a thread 4 pages long .
All of the National directors (admin and class directors) read and answer posts there, but rarely check in here.
For those that haven't found the national forums, here they are:
www.nasaforums.com
There's categories for TT, SM, AI, PT, etc. I'd encourage people to go check them out. However, in the long run - the customer is always right!! If you decide you want tech forums here, we'll add them :D.

HAHAHA. I was like uhm...I just said that ;)
I think a general tech might be nice. I know I just had to PM Scott about his harness bar setup. That's something that could easily be asked here.
