View Full Version : Nationals Questions

Having never been there, I have a bunch of questions...

I've been looking at this map of the facility (http://www.midohio.com/pdf/track_map.pdf), and am wondering:
1. Where will grid be?
2. Where will the Rocky Mountain compound be?
3. Where will tech and registration be?

And, in general:
1. Do we have group plans for meals? If so, what should we bring?
2. Since there are no RV plug ins, do they enforce a "no-generator" time? Ours is pretty quiet, but don't want to agitate anyone.

I'm sure I have others...

The RM compound is located in the Upper Paddock. Rows B&C - Sections 3 - 8.

Grid is down near the garages (10) in the lower paddock.

Registration is at the front gate (3).

Driver Info is at the base of the Goodyear tower (16) in the lower paddock.

Tech is behind the showers (12).

We generally run our generator at 6:30AM to start coffee and shut it off by 10PM.

We will have the big BBQ setup in the RM "hospitality area" - everyone is free to use it. Thursday night dinner is open and we will probably BBQ - how about an informal get together deal? Friday night is the big NASA dinner. Saturday is a RM/Texas BBQ/Potluck, whatever. Bring stuff to share.

Thanks Dave! I've got my maps all marked out ;)

Thursday dinner is a great idea - what can we bring? I've got ribs and home made BBQ sauce...or I can bring that for Saturday.

For the Friday night dinner, do I need to purchase an extra ticket for Megan?

Do I need to pay for Megan to come in to the facility as well, or do I get Crew/Guest passes?

Any room for the Battlestar in the Rm Compound?

You can most likely have my spot. My tow vehicle is in the shop with a broken motor, and I can't find a loaner. Unless some miracle happens between now and Monday, I'm going to cancel.

Can you find a stacker for you and Chris?

Chris, what do you need as a tow vehicle? I have a '98 Tahoe with a 10K towing capacity, wired for 7-round with the brake controller.

I also have my Duramx truck you could use. Will pretty much tow anything

Can you find a stacker for you and Chris?

Not on this short of notice. Should have never sold mine :(

Thanks for the offers.

My trailer is a gooseneck, and it weighs ~18k fully loaded. It will take at least a dually, and (rear suspension) air bags are almost mandatory.

Bob Boileau is working on my last hope.

One final one:

Does Mid-O have/offer wireless internet access at the track?

Yes. But it's a limited area. It's in the lower paddock at the county welcome tent.
