Will there be any vendors or lunch arrangements for HPR? Just wondering if I should let people know to bring lunches with them or not?

Also, does HPR have spectating stands yet?

Thanks!
Chris

I'll have a grill with me, so we can always fire that up...

Yes, there will be catering on site and as far as I know - gas at the pumps. :)

Not sure. Make friends with a Nostalgia or GTS member as they will have front row seats for their rigs based on paddock setup for the opening weekend.

How can we use your car? Hopefully the outside not the inside....I'm not quite certain there isn't something growing on the inside :)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that Chris' car has some sort of fungus infestation at this point...

Do we know what "amenities" will be out there? I think we know the answers to some of these, but just for clarification...

-Bathrooms
-Showers
-Concessions
-Electricity
-Water
-Gas (Is that for race gas, or will it include regular for us HPDE'ers?)

Thanks!

I'll add to Joe's questions....

- Classroom
- Timing/Scoring room/building
- Artificial shade of any kind (tent, building, other)?

Answers:

Port-O-Potties
No showers
Concessions - Yes
Electricity -Yes ($50 - ???)
Water - bottled from Concessions
Fuel - Yes (don't know what ranges)

Classroom - No.
T&S Building - Maybe
Artificial Shade - We are getting 20x20 tents ala Pueblo.

Remember, this is a facility built on a very limited budget. We are lucky to have asphalt!!! I am thrilled that the property will have any amenities beyond port-o-potties. Our backup plan in case the T&S/Control building is not complete is to use the Motorhome parked in pit-lane next to the starter stand.

I agree Dave. I think we're all thankful for a new track! :D

Glad you can make jokes about it. The after taste may be a bit rough though!

Not sure of the time frame on the gas, but they started the grading and concrete forms for the tank pads and fuel island. I imagine the concrete will be poured early this week. 7 days after that the tanks will be placed, then plumbed. I don't know the exact time frame for completion, but should be by the time for NASA weekend.

Tomorrow we still need to complete the wrapping of the corner stations. We completed 8 corner stations today except for the ends, they still need to be bolted to the barriers.

4 corner stations are left to wrap, one of which needs some fine tuning of tire stacks. We had at least 8 people working today to get the 8 stations done. We could use more help tomorrow. Bring vice grips or channel locks.

Mo from 2nd creek will be there for the consessions.

Dave,

Want to let the rest of us in on the paddock setup?

thanks,
chris

944-spec can go between CMC and GTS . we are a little of both and would serve as a good buffer. :D
