We have a few new racers who are interested in getting a warm up before comp school. So we will be doing a mini comp school / DE at www.thetrack.us this Saturday start time is planned for 9:30 am cost should be close to $100 we will be going over "the line" and "off line" . as well as racing situations . If we get a few drivers who are interested in more of the HPDE information we will cover that also. For those of you who were part of HPDE 3 back when I would go over a few turns and we would talk about the best / different ways to go through a corner it will be kind of like that. APEX , TRACK IN , TRACK OUT , HAZARDS ...ETC ETC. "THE TRACK" is an Alan Wilson track and it has the same feel as Miller and MPH . Your $100 will be for around 2 hours of instruction and 2 on track sessions in the rental Karts. If you don't drive the cost is free.

I know this is short notice but I did want to open it up to everyone not just the comp school students. So if your interested in going over "the line" and how to find it or race off of it let me know ASAP . we will be keeping a low student to instructor ratio, For now the instructor to student ratio is one to one.

Should be FUN ! all are welcome.

"The Track" is great! It "feels" just like Miller, go figure, its designed by Allan Wilson.
Ill be helping out with this school on Saturday, instructing on and off "the track." Get there early and well be walking "the track" talking about the driving line and technique. Walking a mini Miller is a heck of alot easier than the real thing.
Its going to be a blast!

Today was a blast! Most fun I've had on four wheels in a long time. Everyone at The Track is very friendly, the management seem like great people. And we didn't get yelled at too much for abusing the rental karts ;) I'm glad we got to do this...it was good to get a refresher before the actual comp school. I feel like I learned a lot about driving a racing line, entering turns side by side etc., I'm really looking forward to next weekend. I hope we get to go out to The Track again soon, with more drivers! :D

That was tons of fun, and a great warm up for this coming season! It was also quite enjoyable to see Chris spin three times in a single 10-15 minute session. :D

It was a great day out there, and Im glad I did it. It was not only a blast to drive the karts, but also learn about traffic management and protecting your line. Thanks to all the volunteers for giving their time so we could learn.

Yesterday was the most fun I've had in the karts at The Track yet! My cheeks hurt from grinning ear to ear. Thanks to Chuck for organizing, to Chris for the track walk and instruction, and everyone else for mixing it up on track! It was great to get a small scale taste of W2W.

to next week's Comp School as well as my first time meeting many NASA 944-Spec folks and prospects. Definitely a great first impression. Everyone was helpful and honest with my questions and the stuff I need to work on (like keeping the 360s on the slopes and off the track). Thanks to everyone for making it such a bargain dollar-wise too. My 944 will thank you to since those dollars saved will be put to good use in building it up!

Was also nice to have Jim (the/an owner of facility) on hand to talk about The Track's design, different classes of karts, and upcoming races there. Definitely the best karting experience I've ever had. Will have to plan more meet ups there with friends (or hope Chuck and Co. do so again). Being on the track with all other karts manned by race-minded individuals was a blast and instructional (especially with the instructors that would normally blow my wheels off slowing down to give me tips).

Also helpful to have several 944-Spec veterans give my pre-build 944 a once over and answering my concerns about "all those strange noises" now that the interior is mostly stripped. Thanks Chris for taking it for a test drive.

First of all thank you Jim from The Track for having us and spending the time talking to us. And thank you Chuck for all of your hard work in organizing and enthusiasm to spread the racing knowlede.

That was a lot of fun and what an incredible kart track. Having a mini miller in our back yard is awsome. For those of you who haven't been there you need to check it out, its a whole lotta fun. We need to organize a race day for NASA there. I hope all of the students learned alot and have more confidence in wherever you go in motorsports.

And Weston, Chris drives there every weekend so he has lots of practice spinning there! :)
