I am ready to go and trying to be optimistic, but not lookin too good here (in c spgs) about 6 inches on the ground and snowing HARD.

I could get the Miata there now on street tires, there's snow in south metro Denver but the roads are just wet / a little slushy. I'll make the call early tomorrow morning depending on how badly things freeze up overnight.
The "call" being: Head to HPR in the Miata, or head there in the beater Subie wagon, have it tech'ed, and learn the track in a slow, heavy, rolly-polly car on Saturday. Actually, that could be a lot of fun ... :D

EDIT: Spoke too soon. As of 6:30pm, I have about 8" of the wet sloppy white stuff all over my neighborhood. The Miata is going nowhere considering the snow is deeper than the ride height ... we'll see by the noon late start time tomorrow. Otherwise, the beater Subie gets to meet the track ...

Yikes, Keith, thanks for posting, but damn that kinda squashed my optimisim a bit. Things are pretty wet with slush accumulation only in Boulder county.

The weather changes by the hour. Now it has stopped snowing and the bright blue sky has shown thru! I am planning on getting up about 2 am and going for it.
Probably not a good idea to drive the Vette, so I have put the Blizzacks on the beater BWM, some sand bags, a tow strap, a snow shovel, and a come-along in the trunk. I put my BFG KDW2's in the back seat and will put them on once I make it to the track.

Don't let me squash your optimism, heck I didn't even spell optomistic right the first go around, had to go back and edit. I think we can make it!

I just got back from trying to pick up the trailer I was going to rent. Things are a mess in Highlands Ranch. A couple of cars were stuck on the hill leading to the U-Haul, and the U-Haul guys and I agreed that I didn't really want to mess with the trailer tonight. I'll try again tomorrow. If I'm lucky I'll be out to the track by Saturday afternoon. If the weather forecast it right, I'll be lucky to get out to the track sometime Sunday.
The maddening part is that not too far from here, this is just rain. :(
