We got in about 1PM today. It's hot and sticky. Good racing weather. I guess we missed the huge downpour - hope that's it for the weekend.

Many of our drivers are here and are getting track time. Out today for test and tune:

Tolley, Franklin and Boileau - SM
Seliga, Rockwell - CMC
GTS - Clark, Grand, Cole, Bellwood
AI - Koerner


Beth got towed in earlier w/a non-running car. Turned out to be a spark module. Erik swapped it out and no track time was lost.

Saturday was a good day.

At least in the AI/CMC class, there was an unbelievable amount of NO contact. Hope it holds through today.

Ian had a catastrophic wheel bearing failure but master mechanic Todd was able to repair.

Sean Thul and Gary Miller had great races in 944Spec, each taking a win.

8:45AM local. The skies darkened and a heavy thunder lightning storm moved in. We are sitting under a delay - don't want to fry anybody!!!

It looks like it's clearing and we'll be starting up in a bit. Nothing like a refreshing summer shower to start the day!

Well, all I can say is WOW.

The weather held (at least on the ground), the track was awesome, the Saturday feast was great (as usual) and a wonderful time was had by all.

I finally pulled it together on Sunday. Tommy won AI race 4 on Sunday. Didn't catch the SM final results, but those were some close races. Del and Bob had HPDE grins across their faces.

Dave B was flying in R3 (first race Sunday), and Tommy was absolutely white-knuckle fighting for the win in R4. Hands-down some CRAZY tough racing. There was lots of contact in Sunday's final race (R4)! :eek:
