I was checking out a fast lap in-car video from Reno fernley and thought the telemetry shown at the bottom of the video was super cool.
Here's the video:

Can anyone tell me more about what equipment would allow a person to do this?

WOW. That is pretty cool. And that rack looks like a lot of fun. Did I see the driver shifting during the turns.

According to the imprint on the video, this was created with TrackVision:

That looks like an interesting product. Sounds like you need a camera, a data logger, and their product to tie everything together. You can buy a package here with the data logger and merge tool...you just supply the camera:

$899...OUCH!
That's money better spent on parts for the CMC car.

Data acquisition ain't cheap…that's for sure. But I'll bet that you couldn't get an upgrade part for $900 that would have a bigger impact on your overall quickness than being able to analyze & improve your driving with a tool like this. Not trying to tell you where to spend your money, as it's always fun to buy go-fast parts, but having the skill improvement that this could give would allow you to get that much more from any other upgrade.
The real hot ticket would be a data analysis tool that lets you overlay a trace of your own data with that from a faster driver in a similar (or identical) car, to show you where and how the other driver is quicker. I'm not sure if TraqMate lets you do that or not (I know there are some out there that have this capability), but it's something that would be extremely valuable for any of us.

Agreed Gary. That would be a world of help to hone your skills. But, you gotta have a competitive car 1st!

Good point. There's definitely a priority difference between making a car faster, and just getting it going in the first place!
