Who's got pictures from the weekend? Here are some of the ones I took from Sunday's race.

I'll put the rest of the ones I got up on the 944 site at some point, but these are some of the better ones (not great, just better than the other ones I took). :D

So... I installed hood pins for this event. Apparently I also need to devise some sort of hood pin dummy sensor...

I started Sunday's race 3/4 of a lap behind because of that. "I was second!!!!" :(

Video and lots of pics to come soon...

The 944 Spec group had a young woman getting started in sports photography out taking tons of pics of all the groups on Saturday and Sunday. We should have most of them posted on the RM944.com web site. She can Photoshop special effects into them as well if you want. I'll post samples later this evening.

Here are a couple of pics from our photographer with her photoshop edits. She has plent of high res pics, you can see a lot of the pictures she took here (http://www.rm944.com/events/2009-08-08_09%20PPIR/gallery/index.html). If you want more, shoot me a PM and I'll get you her contact info.

I've put videos, pictures, etc. online here: http://www.rm944.com/events/2009-08-08_09%20PPIR/

Looking at Chuck's Traqmate data from this weekend versus last September, running on PPIR's banking is right around 1 second slower for 944's than the pit-out configuration, due to the increased distance.

I don't know about the other CMC guys, but for me it was the other way around. I got to run both configs last weekend (before the car broke), and the outer loop (for wheel to wheel) was faster.

edited to add: but then again since I knew we wouldn't be racing the infield cut I wasn't exactly flooring it through there, so disregard.... :P

Has anyone got a good photo of Tommy in the GTS2 car from PPIR? I need one or two for a sponsor deal I'm working on.

Thanks,

Bob:D

I like those last two.

Dave W. looks like some kind of professional race driver there.

The two silver 944s...69...96...phone dials...cookie cutters...the same...but different.

By the way...the new number plates may not be as fancy as the old ones, but I like them a lot more. They are very easy to read.

NOW GET SOME NAMES ON THE CARS!

Nice shots. At least I made it in as an instructor! Notice we are looking at where we're going not where we are! John had it down in a really fast car.
