I know it's short notice AND a holiday weekend, but if anyone is just hanging around and needs a car fix, there are SCCA (I know it's a 4-letter work on these forums) races this weekend at Pueblo. Races are Sunday and Monday (Saturday is a driving school) and the schedule is as follows for both days:
8:00 AM Practice - 20 minute sessions groups 1-5
20 Minute Qualifying for groups 1 – 5
LUNCH BREAK
AFTERNOON - Races - 18 lap races, groups 1 - 5
Worker break midway through afternoon
Groups are:
1. Big bore formula cars
2. Small bore sedans
3. Big bore sedans
4. Small bore forumla and sports racers
5. Spec Miata and Spec 7
I will be running the SRT4 in the ITE-O class (group 3) against some pretty stiff competition, including: Malcolm and his ground-shaking Capri, the Pikes Peak Motorsports supercharged NSX, a Porsche 951, and a Corvette. Should be a good time! ;)
So, if you are bored over the weekend, come on out and watch.

or ask if you can help out with corner working so you get experience with that aspect - front row seats!

stiff competition, including: Malcolm and his ground-shaking Capri,
I would say my level of competition is going to be flacid, at best, as this is now my initial shakedown run for the year.
I will however do my best to finish the event in one piece so I may join you later in July.
If you do see me I am the grumpy one with the rat ride #23

Malcolm, you and I have raced before and I know that even when you are doing a shakedown run your car will be fast. So, I'm going to assume your car will be fast and ready so when I get trounced down the front straight I can say "told ya so"! :D
See you at Pueblo,
Rick

And if you do go... make sure to recruit as many workers to come back down for July 22/23.:D

Well I was diagnosed with heat exhaustion yesterday so as of right now I don't think I will be able to work the SCCA event this weekend. I will however will come out to watch Rick and Malcolm take it to the track. Who else from our little group will be out there this weekend? I will probably bring my little camcorder to do some video shots, 'cuz I wanna take a crack on doing some editing.
