Does anybody want a CMC Camaro

I am still on the fence about turning the green machine into a CMC car. We were gonna rent it and that kept fallin through.
If somebody wants the car I will zap the cage in and make it a legal CMC car.
Or I will sell it to somebody who wants to build it themselves. I was just down in Hallet, OK. racing and the fastest CMC car there was a 91 Camaro RS driven by a kid named Burch. So needless to say a 3rd gen Camaro will still get it done.
Anyone, Bueller????

A friend of mine might drive it in HPDE 1 @ Pueblo on July 23rd. Does your friend need more Info?

I haven't been able to get a hold of him yet. I think he has already left for the 4 day weekend. I just wanted to send him the info to see if he'd be interested in it, because he told he wanted to find something to race and didn't have a bunch of money to build from scratch. Did you say that it is a 91? I dont' know if he'll be there for the pueblo race but I'll have to wait to get a hold him first. Maybe I'll push him to go out to at least see the car.

Actually any decision making info would be good such as the integrity of the chassis and how much work would the drivetrain need if any. Just by coincidence was that car at the March event in Pueblo???

I remember calling that car for dumping coolant from turn 2 at PMI after he spun coming out of turn 1. Hey, weren't you the instructor in that car as well???

the driver was his 16 year old daughter (she handled that spin pretty good, eh) and i was the instructor. :)
and it was dumping coolant.

Wrong Camaro Dude, We had 2 teal green Camaros at the March Pueblo HPDE. The teal green 96 Z28 driven by my 16 year old daughter Jamie. Thats the Camaro Instructed by Kevin Rodgers that had a coolant problem.
And The other teal green Camaro was a 91 RS that was driven by no other than Tommy Schlender. Tommy is best known for his roll as the driver of the mighty Chicken

I might have a buyer, but this 91RS is a great CMC candidate:
91 Chevrolet Camaro RS
305 FI, Freshly Rebuilt T5 5sp
No T-Tops, Already has 16" Z28 wheels.
Only needs;
Cage, Seat, Window net, Rear disc conversion, 1LE front brakes and gutted. This Camaro is that close to being a CMC car.
If I don't sell it buy the end of the season. I will make it a CMC car this winter. Then next season win all the CMC races in this division which I am sure will be heavily Mustang dominated. After that I will want more money for it.

I only remembered the one dumping coolant. And hell yeah that was some good driving from your daughter. She was able to bring it back on the track and keep going.

i've been pulling the race car apart today. the button clutch is in pieces, but it should be ready to come out and play come the 23rd. :)
