Here's an example of what I have happening. There is a small photo (119x54) of my daily driver autocrossing. I use this as my avatar on another site. Here's what shows up when I "browse" the pictures on my computer under "manage attachments":

C:\Users\George\Pictures\Cadero\MeatWheatstock6.jp g

And once I hit the "upload", I get this message:

"This is not a valid image file."

Then I try photobucket. Here's what they have for the image of my Fiero racer that i tried to use both in my signature and as an avatar, it is also small and within the size parameters (150x73):

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd44/cadero2dmax/TMSsignature.jpg

The message i got when I tried "manage attachments:

Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file.

When I try to put either photo in either my signature or avatar, I get this message:

"Invalid File type."

Haven't even tried a full-size photo, but I'm sure that this site would dislike my .jpg files as much full size as it does small!

Help!!

I can't comment about Photobucket, but for this site, I am fairly sure that images must be less than 100 in each direction. That may be the meaning of "not a valid image file."

Try reducing the size just a little. Also, double-check the filename extension; in your original post, it looks like there is a space within "jpg."

Just an idea. Don't get mad if that's not the problem.
