Does anyone know of a good write up on setting up your suspension for road racing? I've got an all wheel drive, all wheel steering vehicle that I'd like to learn about setting up for the track. I've got a completely adjustable coil over system that allows me to adjust cast, camber, toe and 32 way dampening.

In stock form the car has noticeable under steer. I've upgraded the sway bars, added an upper front strut bar and adjustable rear lower control arms. I've also replaced all of the body and suspension bushings with 85 duron polyurethane. The under steer is not as bad now, but it still has a tendency to push in the corners. I'd like to get more neutral if possible.

Thanks,

Keith

Sport Compact Car magazine started a series of articles in June of '05 called "making it stick". It starts with basic stuff and gets into pretty advanced suspension geometry. I definitely learned a lot from them. There are camber and toe recommendations based on car layout and driving tendencies. I used their camber numbers on my last allignment, and was pleased with the grip I was achieving at La Junta. Of course, tires are the first part of that equation. If you can't find them through back issues (available through SCC's website) let me know, and I could find a way to get them to you. I can't give up the mags because I still have a lot more to learn from them. Maybe you could help out with the cost of copying. Let me know

Those sport Compact Car articles are pretty good, they also have a new article about Aerodynamics. It's a pretty good one also.

Thanks Cullen. I'll try and find those back issues, if not, I may be contacting you about copies. I'd be happy to pay for them.
