Pueblo has not been good to me in the past few years as Sundays SCCA event will attest. Pueblo 1 malcolm 0.

Ended up with holey piston syndrom during practice laps. Proceed to pits check melted plugs load onto trailer...........maybe I will meet you guys next year because this year I am over it. As my impending fatherhood(due in Sept) is not going to allow for the rebuild of my first child(the car) anytime soon.

Malcolm,

That sucks! I saw you go by me in Prac when I was bedding my brakes. I saw the car up in the air after that and then you were gone. Sorry about the problems, but you'll get it figured out! Best of luck with the car and the new addition to the family.

That does suck! I went out on Monday in hopes of watching you and Rick race. I did get to see Rick but he didn't know why you left, now we do. Are you going to at least come out to watch the next event???

Probably not, it just depresses me to watch others race when I can not. I am either there on the track or broken in the paddock and loading up to go home....But who knows, maybe I will have a change of heart and come down to see you all.

You might as well start banking credits.... Let's put you to work on the corners or as an instructor.

The corner work gets you a hotel room on Sat night as well as a future free day.

Thats just what I was going to say. You can have fun being close to the action.

Let me get this right NASA pay for its workers (instructor/corner)in the form of entry fees?

Where do I find out more about this program?

Typically I'll throw up a post like this.... with all the details.

Course officials get the best perks with hotel rooms/$$/etc. Course officials typically bank at a 2/1 (work/drive) rate.

Instructors bank track time at a slower rate (6/1), but then again they are on track all weekend with their students for no cost.

They are getting VERY close to getting asphalt down. You can keep up to date on the progress at their site. http://www.gessford.com/images/MPH-Asphalt.htm Everything looks like it should be ready for our Sept/Oct date, so let's plan on it.

Those are kind of in the way. I am going to write a strongly worded letter to the track designer. What about us drifters and farmers????:D

I'm counting on that track being ready: it will be my last chance for this season. Hope they're not getting the rain we're getting here in the Springs...

I'm driving to Toronto tomorrow with the family and going right past the Hastings track. I was going to stop in to see how it is coming along, but now I don't have to! Looks like they're going to be pushing it to have the asphalt cured before the RMVR event in August.
cheers,
bruce
