Here is the information for our Course Officials and Staff. If you know of anyone else who might be interested, please let me know ASAP.

Also, this is a perfect opportunity for those of you who are in the "can't afford it, car is broken, don't have a valid license, etc" mode right now. You can either pocket the $$ or bank the credit for future free track time.

---------------------------------------------------
All Course Workers:

Thank you for your enthusiasm and willingness to help put on the event!!! We can't race without you.

NASA Membership:
We don't require our course officials to be NASA members, but if you would like to sign up - please do.

Pay:
For the Pueblo event you have your choice of $35 per day or you can bank credit for future free track time (work 2 days / drive 1 day free).

Hours:
Saturday is special since we are only running from 6pm - 9pm. Please meet at the base of the tower (end of drag strip) at 5:15pm on Saturday.

Sunday starts with cars on course at 8:30am. Please be at the track and ready to go at 7:45am for the course officials meeting (location base of tower). We take an hour break for lunch (provided) and then wrap up about 4:30pm.

Training:
For those that have not worked corners before, we will pair you up with an expericened person who will show you the ropes. Here is a document that is an excellent reference: http://www.entropyracing.net/asp/Flagging.asp .

*Please note that NASA course officials DO NOT respond to stalled/crashed/etc cars on course. If putting out fires, checking on drivers and pushing cars is your thing, please ask about being a member of our safety team.

Clothing:
This is Colorado - Prepare for anything.... You'll be subject to wind, sun and other weather (snow/rain). A hat, sunglasses and sunscreen are a good idea. A heavy coat or rain poncho is good if it looks like it might get wet. Sturdy comfortable shoes are a must as you'll be on your feet for a good part of the day. White is the preferred color for clothing but not required. For obvious reasons (i.e. colors of flags), please don't wear red or yellow.

The above manual mentions gloves, whistles, knives, etc. Don't feel pressured to go out and get any of this...

Water/Sodas:
We have ice chests available for you to take out onto the corners. You can select various drinks at the morning meeting and then restock at lunch. Make sure to stay well hydrated!

Food/Drinks on Saturday:
When you come off track Saturday evening, we'll have snacks and drinks. This is a great way to hang out with some of the drivers and give them a hard time about screwing up in your corner!!! Beer is supplied (as long as you are 21) - but please remember we need you awake and functioning at 8am on Sunday.

Hotel Rooms:
Please let us know ASAP if you need a room for Saturday night. If you have a special need such as a specific roommate, smoking room (we try to book all NS), late arrival, etc please let me know.

Phone Numbers:
Please make sure you give us your cell phone #. If you are late, we will give you a call to make sure you are ok (no car trouble). If you are running late, please call and let us know (720 810 4850) so we can accomodate for it and be able to start on time.

Corner Requests:
Now that some of you have spent some time at the track, you may have a favorite (or non-favorite) corner. Let me know if you have a preference and we'll see if we can make it work. Also, if you have a buddy that you would like to be paired up with, please let me know and I'll try to accomodate that as well.
