I've been doing some reading up on brake setup and after researching into brake bias and seeing almost all professional motorsport organizations use a dual master cylinder setup then you see others running ABS with a single master. The ABS when it detects lockup on a wheel it releaves pressure on that wheel but with a dual master cyl. setup you will have to make adjustments to fine tune bias to help prevent lockup although it won't eliminate it as much as ABS in theory.

Is there anyone that has used both setups and/or supply more info and maybe explain some preferences?

I will submit this question on the NASA pro site as well.

Nobody uses a single master cylinder anymore. What you see as a single, is actually a dual molded in to one unit.

Factory MC and bias valves are designed for specific brake systems in specific cars. If you make big changes, like big rotor and calipers, rear drums to disc, or change the weight balance, the factory parts no longer work at peak efficiency. The advantage of a dual system that you're talking about is that it's easy to install and adjust for custom applications.

Although I've not heard of anybody using one of these dual MC for ABS, I don't see why you couldn't. Use the balance bar to get the bias set really close. Then turn the ABS on to do the fine tuning and adjustments as you drive. That would be a pretty trick set up.

I have also seen these MC's hooked up to a vacume booster. Mike Forte sells that.

Can anyone confirm that the dual setup is for safety? I read that it's so if one MC goes out then you still have the other

I guess I wasn't specific enough about my question. I already stated what I know about the systems and I'm aware of wieght/brake bias. What I wanted was people's preferences and experiences using the different systems. I have decided in the future to go with a dual MC and utilize my ABS with it. Using a proportioning valve only slows the build up of pressure on the end that you set it up on and has a short window of a true bias control depending on the setting and how hard you're on the brakes.

The safety aspect of having 2 MC is an added benefit, but the soul purpose is for having control of the brake bias.

You can read the answers I got from the nasa forums.

I have used a standard dual bowl MC with an adjustable valve. Now I have a dual MC and I like it a lot better. It was easier to install, and easier to adjust. It seems to respond better, but I could be wrong on that point.
