I think Scott L's biceps were good for at least 300 ft lb when we did some suspension stuff on the Pumpkin :D

Or maybe it was "thats good enough"...I cant remember.

I've got a 3/4" Snap-On that maxes at 250. I'm in Parker (a little closer to Elizabeth) if you want to borrow it.

The torque requirement for my hub nuts is 250 ft lb. I've got an 18" breaker bar. I put it on the nut so the bar's horizontal and stand on the very end. I weigh 180 lb. I guess it's a pretty cheesy way to do it but it seems to have worked OK so far.

Can't you just take a standard torque, dial it up to 125 and yank on it twice as hard? Kinda like a 30 pound tire kick.

[yes, I'm kidding]

The real question is, "Can Kevin pull hard enough to make the wrench 'click' with it set all the way up to 250 ft. lbs.?"

Oh, I forgot that it'll probably be on a lift. Then all he has to do is hang on the wrench.

;) :D

Realize this is an old thread, but no one mentioned Checker (and probably other auto part chains) loan these for free. I borrowed one a few weeks ago for my Maxima wheel nuts.
