I want to drive at this event but I don't plan on driving my car all the way out there and I don't have a truck/trailer. I was thinking of just going the old rent n' race route. I just need to know if anyone knows of any close rental car locations near the track, or at least on the way to the track.

I do have an extra open trailer that is available if someone needs it for the event.

check in Grand Island if you don't find anything in Hastings itself. There is a Hastings visitors site http://www.visithastingsnebraska.com/
but I don't know if they list rental places.
cheers,

Kind of depends on how the next month goes but I might have a 944-spec race car to rent or a HPDE 944. sort of like this.

The cost would be more than a rental car but I think less than Comeau racing ....
More info to come.

Thanks Chuck, but I'm actually trying to save some money and still be able to drive. I would just rent a truck and trailer and bring my own car but it's a little expensive. I figured if I could spend $50-$80 for a one day rental car and drive, cool. If not, I'll probably just work the event and not drive.

Does this trailer come with a truck for towing too? :)

Just a thought.
I will be trailering my car out there and if it doesnt brake and your car did I would be happy to trailer your car home for you.
Also you could rent a trailer/truck in Nebraska to get a broken car home.
I have access to a trhee car trailer but no way to pull it. My truck doesnt have a 5th wheel on it.

Well that's the thing - I don't want to put myself in a position to where I might have to foot the bill for a tow home. It's just not in the budget right now. I appreciate the offer though Kyle.
And half of the problem is that the car is not comfortable for a long drive like that with fixed racing seats. My wife wouldn't be up for a 6 hour drive with no reclining ability and no A/C.

No problem.
How about this.
Rent one of those new mustangs and take it to the track.:D Make sure you get the extra insurance.
