It's getting dark earlier and now it looks like it will be cold and rainy on Sat evening. I'm ready for some racing.

I built an NSX for SU that's slightly faster than my Ford GT...and a lot easier to drive. Working on an S5 build as well (figured I'd see what that bandwagon is all about since the S5 is all over the leaderboards :D)

Anyway, I'm not positive but I think I should be able to drop in for this at some point.

I won't be able to make it tonight - sorry to have to miss what look like some really impressive SU builds!

I didn't make it after all either. Did anyone else? I'm really looking forward to some good racing on here...I miss all of our sessions with 6+ NASA people. Tried racing online with random people but it's not the same, especially since cars I've built for our classes aren't competitive with the "serious" FM3 folks :p Hopefully it'll pick up here soon.

There were 5 of us (Joel, Brad, RayBob, Ross and me). Some excellent SU and SpecMiata racing!!! Definitely lots of fun!!

Remind me what the SU build requirements are. Just keep the PI at 630?

Yeah, S630 PI, or 610-ish for AWD cars. Must install roll cage, race brakes, race suspension, race tires.

Yeah, the AWD cars are definitely proving to be over-dogs at 630. I was running several RWD 630 cars and was having a hard time keeping up with the AWD cars last weekend. I swapped to my 602 Audi S5 and was much more competitive even giving up 28 points.

On Sat we had four different makes (Audi, Lexus, Ford and Nissan) running times at Road Atlanta that were 0.4 seconds from fastest to slowest single lap time. That's very competitive. We just need to balance out the AWD holeshot to make sure the RWD cars have a chance to catch up during X laps.

Either way, these are very fun cars to build and drive. For those building cars I think we should stick to RWD max at 630 and AWD max at 610 and see how it goes. Thoughts?
