Just wanted to introduce myself. I work with MHISSTC out here in Goodland, KS. Previous race experience pretty much confined to PPIR in an '03 Cobra, '01 Viper GTS, and '04 SRT Ram reg cab.
I look forward to meeting you guys through the year. I'm aiming to participate at Hastings at the end of September. I'll be bringing my '04 supercharged SRT Ram.
I've pm'd Dave about what else I need to do to participate. I just got my national membership. I'm hoping Mysstic can tech my truck since I dont have anything close to me out here on the high plains.
Anyway, hope to see you at the track!!

Uuuhhh...yes, I have been, but I also list the CMC car as an incentive for me to git-r-done.
I may actually take the '85 Capri GS out to Hastings just for fun if I can get it finished up.

I remember seeing your truck at PPIR last year. That thing was pretty fast for a 2 1/2 ton vehicle. I was impressed. Looking foreward to seeing that again.

That was my previous bone stock truck at PPIR. I traded that one in on my current supercharged truck.
Truck weighed 5,050 pounds with me in it and a half tank of gas when I was at Bandimere a few weeks ago for test n tune night.

Boy I wish. Truck gets about 17 mpg highway...one mpg less then the '97 Dakota 4x4 v8 I had a year or so ago. At the drag strip, about 5 mpg. At 75 mph truck turns about 1500 rpm in 6th gear so its not too bad :)

Interesting story. At truckfest (a few weeks ago) I ran against a fellow SRT Ram owner who had an '05. Only changes in stock form from mine are the 4.56 gears. he beat me!!
Well, turns out there is a wide open throttle timer delay of up to 3 seconds...esp on supercharged applications. So from a standstill the truck falls on its face until boost kicks in. This isnt apparent on the street or dyno given rpms are in the 2500+ range to start...the delay isnt a problem.
I then got a pcm flash that removed this delay. 2 weeks later I went back to bandimere and knocked off a full second with a 13.889@103.96 mph run. Density altitude that day was similar to the previous runs at 8,000 feet.
Theres another SRT Ram running a pro-charger sertup with 6psi or so of boost who ran a 12.8 second run. We ran together and by 1/8 mile he was already 4-5 mph faster.

Faster than most, but fast enough to run down the cars you listed on a road course?! I will have to see for myself! ;)

Ut oh. Maybe now is the time to suggest that the cars I was racing with in the stock SRT Ram were in a less experienced group. There is no way I will be able to compete against the more experienced drivers in modified vehicles. Either way, I'm out to have fun :)

That's Ok, I take credit for "beating" many fast cars who just happened to be in HPDE1 on their first try at half throttle, heh. :D
