Feb 15th 2005 - Elizabeth CO

NASA Rocky Mountain is proud to announce that Zung Tran is stepping up as a Time Trial Co-Director for the Rocky Mountain Region.

Zung has been participating with NASA since our second year in 2007 making his way through the ranks and recently competed at the 2010 National Championships and finished 2nd in TTE in the Rocky Mountain Region Series. As a proud achievement he was named HPDE Participant of the Year in 2009. Zung, a college professor by trade, will be a great addition to the team. "His love of motor sports, attention to detail and outgoing friendly demeanor fits so well with our staff.", says Dave Balingit RM Regional Director.

Zung will be handling much of the at track duties while Whit Pfost will remain a center force for points tracking, TT certifications and licensing. Zung's plan for 2011 is to, "Help Whit with all on-track stuff well as anything else we can think of to ensure a safe, smooth running, and fun TT season. My personal goal is to learn more and contribute to RM NASA."

Welcome to the team Zung!!!

Zung, congrats! Does this mean you'll be too busy to, umm, beat the snot out of me at the track again this year? :D

Thanks Dave for your kind introduction. And thanks everyone for your words of congratulations. I will give it my best, but will also expect all the TT folks, old-timers and new, to pitch in to make it a safe and fun 2011 season for all of us!

In the next several weeks, I will be posting information on this forum about stuff we should all be aware of before the season starts at HPR, March 19-20. Hope to see you all there!

Zung

correct, your handicap this year is 3-year old street tires, that will cost you a pretty penny to find :)
