I have 4 porsche 944/924S cars 3 of them are 88 model years 1 is a 84 and uses different wheels and a few different parts so I'm going to sell the odd car.

Asking Price $1900

If someone is interested I could fix all of the little problems, have a cage installed and complete the change to race car. this car is my daily driver so it runs great. I will post pics asap.

944-spec
$ 1900 car
$ 2300 safety
$ suspension ~$2000
$ go through car ~$1000

it could be on the track for about $4500-$5000

thanks for looking.

Hi Chuck,
OT, but why wasn't there a 944 Spec race at Nationals? I saw 944 Cup and Supercup - is that 944 Spec?
cheers,
bruce

Bruce
easy question...
944 cup and 944 supercup are east coast.

944-spec is west of the mississippi for now...

ohio was just too far for the CA/AZ guys to go. there were a few who made the trip but they raced with 944 cup i guess.

maybe your next question whats the difference...
944-spec is low cost close racing.
944 cup allows everyone to run with a 944. to win in 944 cup costs much more $$$ and only a few cars have a chance to win.

944 supercup is for turbo and 4 valve cars.

944 cup and supercup is owned by one person... 944-spec is a NASA class.

944-spec gets toyo money.

NASA, pca, poc and scca have 944-spec.

thats pretty much it...

New price ...

$1700 ... for a Porsche !!

just wait till you tell your coworkers "I race a Porsche" it's just about worth $1700 . note to raybob, I would not recomend you tell your coworkers you race a Porsche .... they might beat you up. but for the rest of us it's a good thing.

so buy this car so I can get a different one !

bolt in cage is around $700
cut off switch ~$15
give it tires and some pading and your on the track!

Chuck, thats a great deal for a car to go racing.
I had more than that in my spec7 in 02.
Looks like a cheap way to go racing. I have a buddy with a 928 who wants to go racing. He didn't understand why he couldn't race in AI? I will forward him this Thread so he can see what cake eating options are available to him.

BTW, Don't tell anyone I was talkin with you about Porsches or I'll get beat up after work in the parkin lot. :D

What color is this one? You are venturing into daily driver pricing terretory for me. :D That white one looks pretty nice to be turning into a race car.

[QUOTE=svochuck] just wait till you tell your coworkers "I race a Porsche"

I was telling my co-workers I was passing a Porsche/Porsches with my truck :cool: Of course, this doesnt include those GT3's :eek:

Dont tell MHISSTC your selling it...oops to late, he already saw it :) I think he may have one more spot in his driveway/driveways for another vehicle.

It does look rather nice to be changed over to a racer. Maybe MHISSTC and I could work out an agreement for both of us to own it.

It looks great from about 15 feet away but I would have no problem turning it into racer. as for daily driver ....thats what i use it for now.

gets great gas mileage.

Cool. That'll keep it out of my driveway. I went so far as to mention it to the better half.

Did you include a track day in the sale price?

Cross your fingers that it's to mount some R compound tires and not a set of snowtires for winter commuting.
