Mark Klenin and I are considering bringing the big rig down. Looking for one person to join us and share expenses. Not super cheap, but in the same cost range as towing your own car. You can work all week, save the 900+ mile tow (each way), fly in and out.

Most people consider TWS the "best" TX track.

Please call me if interested.

Thanks,
Joe

As a 'misplaced Texan'... I can vouch for the fact that TWS is an awesome track.

Lots of good eats in College Station as well!

Wish I could go :(

100 miles south is Motorsports Ranch - Houston. 100 miles NW is Motorsports Ranch - Cresson. You guys should see if you can get track time there since you are driving all that way!

Hallet in June? I think most of the Texas TT guys are going.

I'm working my schedule / budget to squeeze it in there.

Yeah, I've been thinking about hitting one of the out of state "H" tracks this year too. Might have to borrow one of my dad's rigs for that one tho. Would be cool if a lot of Texas and Midwest cars show up.

You may be surprised, Jim. You'll never get a 2,000 mile round trip for less. Give me a call on cell or email tomorrow. Will be instructing at private event at PPIR, but will have breaks to call back.

Hey John,
Name one favorite place to eat in CS please. Mark is buying, so cost no object :).

Expect to arrive on Thursday night WAY late or mid-morning Friday. Will probably eat at the track on Saturday, hit the road home on Sunday.

Thanks,
Joe

Probably be hard pressed to break his wallet there... mostly college joints, but good food:

- Dixie Chicken (more of a bar)
- Chicken Oil Company (the restaurant to go with the bar^)
- Chuy's - Texas Mexican Chain... great food with an Elvis theme (?) & good margaritas.
- Rudy's Texas BBQ
- Martin's BBQ (my favorite of the two)
- The Republic - steak house... probably best restaurant in town
- Christopher's World Grille - Seafood and Steak. Been two times, both were very good.
