Hey Dave,
Who will tech our Camaros and Issue us a Log Book?
I got a hold of Bill McMahan @ MAC Autosport, Ltd.and when we put the motor in #34 we will go get Dyno'ed but won't we need NASA log books? My new Camaro only has a Grand Am Cup log book. #34 has a SCCA log book. Maybe I should be the new AI tech guy then I could log book my own car ;) After the first of the year we will be ready. For now I will be issuing logbooks. I'm working on 4 shops (inlcuding one in Utah) that will be able to do RACE tech and do logbooks. For HPDE only tech (no logbooks), we will attempt to have about 8 shops total.

As soon as we have the list, I'll get it published. For now, if you let me know when you'll be at MAC we can get it all done on the same day.

Having SCCA and GAC log books helps tremendously, but watch out for some "gotcha's". Out of date belts and helmets are one place you can get into trouble. Also, some organizations allow the inexpensive rotary molded fuel cells, whereas NASA does not.

Where we need help with AI (and a few others) is a leader of the class. Finding new competitors, obtaining sponsorships and voicing opinions for the competitors is critical to the success of this and other classes.
