Any idea what class the Pontiac Solstice/Saturn Sky 2.4L cars will be in?
How about the 2.0L turbo versions?
Just wondering.

Go through the list of other PT cars and see what it might be similar to in performance.
Maybe a base class of PTE? Maybe D?

Okay, I figured PT. Would it be safe to say that the base TT classing will be similar to the base PT classing? As the non-GXP/non-Redline version is classed in TTE. So looking at the cars that it competes with in Time Trials, I can probably see how it would be classed in Racing (I'm assuming).

Some of the PT classes are the same as TT, but not always.
For example, my SM is in TTD and in PTE.

If it's any help, the SCCA is planning on classing them as C-Stock for autocrossing. I don't know if that has a direct correlation to anything in NASA, though.

Yeah, I saw the SCCA classing. Not sure that it's going to have any relation to the NASA classing though.

There is a rumour abuzz about a production LS7
production Solstice.
Which class? I'd say SU!

When I went to Vegas last year I saw the LS1 Solstice that Lingenfelter put together and when they drove it out on the strip for a demo I just about crapped my pants.
With a LS7 it will be REALLY NASTY!

There are already a few Solstices with LS7's in them. They're only about 50-70 lbs heavier than the GXP Solstice - sounds like fun! I'd imagine they'd have to go in SU. Not sure how many people will want to buy the car for $25k, drop $18k in the swap then go racing though.

If I had the dough I would.
Can you say modern day Cobra.

Oops, I see that the LS7 package is $47k... it's the LS2 conversion that's $19k. Ouch! That's almost C6 Z06 territory...
