Ok people, talk is cheap, so time to throw down this Saturday night for some Forza 4 online racing. Chime in if you're game for this Saturday, November 12th, starting around 7ish.
I'm sure we'll have a few hiccups figuring out the new online system and implementing our previous F3 Spec builds, so let's get that out of the way this weekend and rub some fenders! The only requirement so far is that you try to race clean and are preferably a NASA member.
Who's in?
01. Joel (jgray350)
02. Rick (Snickryder)
03. Ray Bob (Raybob43)
04. Dillon (dillon87) *maybe*
05. Gary (GaryM05) *maybe*
06. Gary (Gary_44) *maybe*
07. ...

I can probably make it, not sure yet, but count me in tentatively.
The spec builds should actually be a heck of a lot easier in this game since affiliation is based on manufacturer. I can build basically any of our previous spec cars for free now (aside from the cost of the car which was generally pretty low).
Also keep in mind, you can get cars a LOT cheaper in the auction house! Just keep an eye out for cars that have a low "buyout" price. Sort by class to find ones that are close to stock. However if you do buy a modded one, you get all the mods that come with it, so that's cool.
It's a shame that V8 Supercars are still insanely expensive though. I don't know if you can win one yet.

I have one, a Ford Falcon. I'll put it in the club's shared cars.

I'm tentatively in - looking forward to it, if I can make it. If not, I'll be curious to hear how it went.

Updated the list... Would be cool if we could get at least 6 people online. Just sayin'. Ray Bob, how about your friend Billy?

I don't have any of the cars built yet on Forza4. I guess theres no way to import them from Forza3?

I don't think he has Forza4 yet, I'll ask him.

No, you can't import your F3 cars, but... Rick has built and shared all of the spec cars with the NARM Club, so you can use those this Saturday if you like. If you want to tweak any of the car settings and mods, or add your own personalized paint scheme, then you'll have to build those cars up on your own.
Correction: Rick has built and shared the majority of the spec cars. I recall that there are a few left that he's working on.

I'm the on-call guy at work this week, otherwise I'd give you a "Hell ya!"
So, like the other Gary...I'm a tentative yes too.
I'll probably have to borrow a club spec car, dont have time to build my own.

Guys, I've built and shared the following:
Spec Miata (Gen 1, built to SM rules)
Spec Miata (Gen 2, stock)
MB 190E 2.5-16 (GTS)
BMW E30 M3 (GTS)
VW Scirocco GT (GTS)
Golf R32 (GTS)
Audi TT 3.2 (GTS)
Chevy Camaro SS (AI)
Dodge Challenger ART8 (AI)
Ford Mustang GT (AI, not the GT500 from FM3!)
Where possible, these were built to the exact spec from FM3 and all of them have the tuning setup that I use. Still working on the Vintage Trans Am, SU and Aussie V8 cars. Will keep you posted as I get more done.
I'm also working on a comprehensive list of build rules for ALL of the FM3 cars we used last year. This will be adjusted to the new FM4 performance index so that you can build any of the cars for yourself so you don't have to use the Club's shared cars.

So as it turns out I probably won't make it...still a possibility though. Regardless I'll have to get around to sharing my cars in the garage so you guys can have a bit of a variety. I have a couple of AI cars, spec miata, vintage / trans am, and a GTS car.

I haven't played since last week, so I'd be up for a few races if you are. Around 7ish? Or would a different time work better?

I'm game for around 7.
Last week was a good time. It's nice to drive online with people who dont treat it like it's demo derby. Although, I think I was the worst offender for unintended contact...

7 works for me. We need to get in touch with Dillon so he can add Brad to the NARM club (so he can share our pre-built cars since he just go the game) and also to see if he can make Joel or maybe me co-leaders so we can do it when he isn't around.
Oh, and I completed and added three Vintage Trans Am cars to the Club Garage. Working on the base Aussie V8s now.
See you guys in a couple of hours.

Hey Rick,
Can we just have the cars that are shared in the club garage? Then we make them our own with our own livery? I went to a party on Sat. night so didn't get to race with you guys.

RayBob,
I think Rick is working up a new set of build rules and will be posting them online soon. So, I'd sit tight and wait for that info to hit the forums. Until then, if you have enough credits, you could at least buy the cars and start painting them up, then add the mods later.

So Raybob, here's the deal. Any club member can add ANY car to the club garage, but only the owner can paint, change the upgrades or modify the settings. So, while the garage is nice to have for some things it's not the final answer to having "spec" cars for us to race.
I setup the cars that I have shared as I like to drive them because lots of people asked last year how I setup my cars to be so fast. So far that has only frustrated people that have tried to drive them because they are setup to be tail happy or "loose". ;)
To help with this I am going to do two things:
1) I'm going to reset all the settings to be out of the box stock. They will still meet all of the build rules for parts upgrades, but otherwise the tire pressures, suspensions settings, etc. will all be the default settings. This should help since some people never try to change any of those things and are used to these settings.
2) For those that like to build, paint and setup their own cars I am working on a definitive guide to building ALL of our racing classes. Then you can build whatever you want, paint it however you want, set it up however you want so that you can drive it how you like it....and probably still get beat by me! :D
I'm hoping to get all of that done tonight or tomorrow night. As soon as I do, I'll post up all the info here on the forums. In the meantime, everyone keep earning those credits so that you can buy and build the cars that we race with. ;)

Sorry I didn't see this thread sooner. I would like to pass on that if you guys know anyone that doesn't have a copy of Forza 4; I have an extra copy of the LCE version with the VIP pack and others for $70 shipped.
