Anyone up for racing this weekend? I can be on at the normal 7PM time if anyone else is interested.

When are we going to have the "All Vintage Trans Am" night? This weekend, next weekend? Does anyone not have a VTA car? I can build and gift a car to you if you need one or want more.

Who's in?

If I'm not watching the Rolex 24 hours. I've also built a cougar and will try to build a mustang by Sat.

As far as I know, I'm in for the VTA night with my Cougar this Saturday. Maybe we could start with shorter races on shorter tracks and work our way up to longer races on longer tracks? Don't make me choose, I still don't know them all that well.

I've made, and continue to make, a few visual improvements to my Cougar every so often to make it more accurate (or as accurate as it can be given it's a '67 paint scheme on a '70 body style and a little artistic license needs to be exercised to make it work). If anyone is interested in the new and improved version, I need to eventually re-sync it. I also just renewed my XBOX Live Gold trial for another 3 months. I'm still learning all the subtleties of the Forza experience, so I don't know if it's the fact that my 1 month trial membership lapsed for a day, or because folks are using the Cougar, but for some reason I'm locked out of Sync-ing it. I think I'm still allowed to delete it from the NARM club garage and re-share it. But, if I do that, Forza is telling me folks will lose that car. Would it cause a problem for anyone if I delete and re-share it when I've eventually decided I'm finished updating it? Or, are there individual lap times or anything else associated with it that someone would lose if I did that? If so, would you rather continue to use it "as-is"?

Scott, just re-synch it OR buy another cougar and make all the new changes to that one so only you get the "good stuff". :D

That's the problem, I can't re-sync it. Forza says it's locked. I can make any changes I want to on the one still in my garage though. Since the setup won't change, unless someone wants one with the aesthetic updates too, I'll probably just leave the one in the club garage as-is since it's 'good enough'.

Scott, I think Forza is telling you the the paint design is locked. You cannot sell or gift a car that has a locked design group in it, so I'm guessing you cannot synch it because of the design. So, save the design to your local design catalog, then revert the paint to "stock" or something generic and then you can re-synch it. Then just reapply your local design. That's what I do with all of my garage cars that contain locked design components. Hope that helps.

Thanks Rick. That's likely the reason. I "purchased" nice hoodpin and gas cap designs that are locked. I'll have to put the generic grey circles back on the car to sync it again and incorporate some of the other minor changes I made. Now I understand why some folks are charging different "prices" for locked vs. unlocked designs.

Maybe for me, I've got dinner with the folks Saturday night. It's a possibility I'll be on afterward though...

I should be around tonight and would love to jump in if so. I however don't have any of the cars you guys race, are they in the club garage as well? Any chance we could do some races with the standard Forza classes (as I have lots of great cars that are setup for C, B, A, S class...)

Ross, almost all of the cars are built and shared in the Club Garage with a default setup. You can race those or build your own. The specs are in multiple threads on this forum so it's really easy to build them up. With that said, the reason we have all of these classes is because these are generally more fun then picking random cars from the PI scale since there can be such huge variations. So, we'll be sticking to the classes we have created for the most part. There is a link in my signature to the Forza4 FAQ with all of the info...

I'm in for a night of Vintage racing. Haven't built any cars, so will likely be freeloading off of the club garage (maybe a nice Jim Hall Camaro would be fun if we've got one.)

Great racing last night!

I thought the 'All Vintage All The Time' theme worked out really well. The fact that we raced the same cars for 3+ hours without it getting old was really cool.

I've briefly looked at a couple replays with more yet to go. The grouping in the following picture shows Raybob up front in the Challenger, me in the Cougar, Brad in the red #13 Camaro, and Gary spinning through the corner after making contact with Raybob.

I saved a short video of Brad flipping his car down the straight at Indy after contacting the wall, but I can't find it right now.

I was doing pretty well for a while. I think Gary was way out front and I was second due to several mistakes from folks now behind me. Rick is chasing me down waiting for one of my bonehead moves.
