Hastings May 18-20 ?

I was looking at there website and saw this date had opened up.... I don't know how drivers many it would take to make it work but, I would go for sure ! Anyone else interested in going to Hastings in May ?

I'd be interested... La Junta is probably too soon for me, Mid America conflicts with work, and I don't want to wait until Pueblo in July to race again. Hastings in May seems to be just what I'm looking for.

if i'm not mistaken that is the weekend the bmw club runs there teenage survival school....the only impact on nasa would possibly be fewer instructors avalable.

Hastings twice this year would be great for us. However we would not do both LaJunta next month and Hastings in May.

I am looking forward to La Junta next month - but have a race weekend already planned mid May.

Guess I just have to wait for warmer weather in August to enjoy MPH.

hastings in may (2 1/2 hours away) with the rocky mountion guys or putnam park (10 hours away) with the mid-west guys. i think i would love to stay here in my back yard. hasting was a great time in sep-2006 anyway.

I will have to see how the budget is. I had planned on possibly hitting Hallet with the boys however the budget is pretty small.

I like the idea of an event in May rather than waiting longer or driving super far to race. plus its the weekend of my b-day, wohoo! im down.

FYI. There is an SCCA club race (Regional/National) at Midamerica Motorplex that same weekend. I know that there is at least one AIX car that would have to decide to tow 1/2 hour to MAM or 2.5 to Hastings.

Chuck needs to start a "yay" or "nay" list, but as far as I go I would only be able to work that event. I already laid out my budget for the year and driving in May is not in the cards for me.

I think some of the problem is just economics, with the racers already set on other races they may lose money on the weekend. We'd have to get a lot of people in HPDE/TT to make it work.

Still, I'd be there in a heart beat.

It's not up to me but it seems like we don't have quite enough drivers....

I would guess to make it happen would take a second car club to be a guest of NASA. Like if ____ had 30 cars and 2 run groups add them to off set the cost of track rental.... and BAM were there.

I forgot that our Knucle draggers will not be there so there goes one race group....

It's all good I just don't want to go 2 months without a fix.

Indeed we do Hank! I tried to get Mr. Black down on Sunday -- called him Sat from PMI to encourage him to cruise to Pueblo to shake down his car before the Vegas race, but he had a mechanical/parts issue with his rear sway bar. Randy would always be a welcome addition too...he may need to see how the new R56 MINI takes to the track. :D
