Going to give TTB a try this year...

Thought some of you might be interested, so here's the official announcement: click here

I'm really excited about this. I'm still working on my GTS3 car, but this gives me another opportunity to get out there and be competitive. And, for the car owner and our sponsors, it's an opportunity to prove that the parts, modifcations and design are up to the task for not only the enthusiast driver but on the track as well.

Very cool, Rick! Looks like you'll give them a run for their money.

Thought I would give everyone an update on this project. After further research (ie reading the rules ) we determined that TTB was not the correct class for the car. We worked through the details with Whit, our Regional TT Director, and the National TT Director and we have been placed into the TTS class. This change is due to several factors, but it really is the proper classification for the car. We are working hard on additional modifications to make the car as competitive as possible.

Unfortunately, the car won't be at the first event at PPIR as it will be on display at the Denver Auto Show in the Avalon Motorsports booth. So, our first event will be at Pueblo in May.

Hope to see everyone there and we are looking forward to a great year in TT. You can't miss us, we'll be in the bright Orange Audi!

Rick

I got a chance to see and drive Chuck's car yesterday when he was in northern Colorado. The car is really awesome; very fast but still very streetable. I can't wait to see how it performs at the track. (Rick, I'm jealous!)

Thanks Mark! We'll have to do it again when I'm out there next week. Man it's killing me to miss the PPIR event!

Right now AR Design has it working on the custom radiator and oil cooler and he called me last night and again this morning about how much better the brakes were since he drove it last. Since that was Rick's biggest complaint last time he drove it, I'm hopeful he's going to be quick in it. The lower stance, sway bars, new tune and race tires won't hurt either.

Now that we're in TTS, we'll have to be really quick. I haven't met Clay yet, but he's already made me a little afraid. Hopefully he won't gloat too much. ;-)
