Grid worker

You are the last person a driver sees before entering the track. In this position, the drivers safety equipment, loose items in the cabin, fluid leaks, hood pins, trunk pins and the entrance to the track are your priority. 

Experience Recommended 

Position notes:

-Must be able to stand for long periods of time

-Must be able to communicate effectively via radio

-Must be able to spot errors in safety equipment

-Must have ample knowledge of NASA

-Must be able to communicate effectively with drivers

corner worker

This position is vital to any track environment. When you are a corner worker, the safety of the drivers is in your hands. You will be stationed on a corner of the track keeping a close eye on the action on the track.

Do you like watching cars race around a track? This is the best seat in the house.

Position notes:

-Must be able to stand for long periods of time

-Must have ample knowledge of race and HPDE groups

-Must have ample knowledge of flagging procedures

-Must be able to communicate effectively via radio

GREEN GREEN GREEN! Our starter position requires and sharp eye and a keen understanding of motorsports. Do you want to wave the green?

-Must be able to stand for long periods of time

tent setup

Do you arrive at the track the Friday before the event? Our tent setup takes place on Friday afternoons and usually takes 1 hour to assemble. If you arrive for the weekend early, this is one of the best ways you can give back!

Position notes:

-Must be able to communicate and work as a team

-Must be able to properly lift and carry up to 50lbs. with other team members

-Must be willing to arrive to the track the Friday before the event before 2pm.

Tent disassembly

Other than the racetrack, our tent sees the most drivers. Our tent requires to be disassembled in an organized fashion at the end of our weekend event. This process starts in the afternoon on Sunday and usually takes 1-2 hours.

Position notes:

-Must be able to communicate and work as a team

-Must be able to properly lift and carry up to 50lbs. with other team members

-Must be willing to stay after hours on Sunday, estimated 6pm

 

Lunch setup

For all of our hardworking volunteers, we provide a lunch service to keep them on the top of their game. In this position, you will prepare our worker lunch station. 

Don’t worry, this wont take long. You might even get first pickings!

Position notes:

-Must be able to properly lift and carry up to 15lbs.

-Must be able to carry equipment such as tables with team members

-Must be able to keep food service equipment sanitary

dinner setup

Who doesn’t like food? Better yet, who doesn’t like food and awards? In this position, you will help set up our food service line  and our awards table. 

Don’t worry, this wont take long and you will still get to eat.

Position notes:

-Must be able to lift and carry up to 15lbs.

-Must be able to carry equipment such as tables with team members

-Must be able to keep food service equipment sanitary

driver info

Driver info provides the right answer at any given time. Weather its a grid position or the start of a session, Driver Info has the answers.

Experience Required

Position notes:

-Must be able to sit for extended periods of time

-Must be able to effectively communicate via radio

-Must have ample knowledge of NASA

-If possible, work is conducted in a heated/air condition environment with ample seating options

timing

If a fast lap isn’t timed, it never happened. In this position, accuracy  is critical to all of the drivers. The timing and scoring of our events keeps drivers coming back for more.

Position notes:

-If possible, work is conducted in a heated/air conditioned room with ample seating options.

-Must be able to sit for extended periods of time

-Must be able to efficiently communicate via radio.

Tech/impound

Do you want to expand your knowledge of fabrication and safety? In this position, there is a high volume of cars requiring a technical inspection, impound inspection and safety inspections.

Experience Required.

Position notes:

-Must be able to communicate effectively with drivers

-Must know how to properly tech a vehicle

-Must know how to operate race scales

-Must have knowledge of proper safety equipment

 

Race control

You are IN control and have responsibility over the schedule and the drivers on track. Do you have what it takes?

Experience required.

-Must have ample knowledge of ALL NASA and run group procedures.

media

-Must be willing to walk around the paddock with a camera.
